Cards add new faces to next seasons squad. 10th June 2018

Manager Alan Dowson has had a busy few days as he continues his search for new players for the forthcoming season for the Cards, as they prepare for life in Conference South next season.

Woking have signed Charlie Wassmer.

Charlie, 27-year-old- central defender, started his career in youth football at Hayes and Yeading. In March 2011 he signed on loan for Crawley Town, before signing on a permanent basis that summer. He then went on to sign for Cambridge United in January 2013 before rejoining Hayes and Yeading at the start of the 2013/14 season.

Charlie has also had spells at Margate, Maidenhead, Gosport Borough and last season played for Hampton and Richmond.

The Cards have also signed Centre Back Ian Gayle.

The 25-year-old- started his career at Dagenham and Redbridge in 2010. In 2016 he joined Braintree Town. At the start of last season he joined Welling United, before signing for Wealdstone in January.

27-year-old winger Nicky Wheeler has signed for the cards.

Nicky, started his career at Charlton Athletic’s youth set up, where he spent seven seasons. At the start of the 2017/18 season he signed for Dagenham and Redbridge after impressing for Tonbridge Angels. In November he made the move to eventual Bostik League Champions Billericay Town. 

The club have also announced that Sam Mason has signed for the forthcoming season.

The 17-year-old keeper made his debut for the Cards last November against Maidenhead United, after coming on as a replacement for Nathan Baxter.

18-year-old Declan Appaul, a product of the Clubs Academy system, has also put pen to paper for the forthcoming season.
