Flames claim first ever Elite League win over Steelers. 12tjh February 2018

A third period hat trick from Ian Watters helped the Flames celebrate a 4-2 home win over the visiting Sheffield Steelers at The Spectrum on Sunday.
Guildford opened the scoring in front of a crowd of almost 2,000 when Rhett Rachinski fired home on 18.56. Steelers level the game with a powerplay effort from Matt Marquardt on 26.03.Watters bagged the first of his three goals on 45.30. Steelers hit back when Levi Nelson netted on 51.44. But Watters two goals inside five minutes sealed the win for Guildford. His second of the night was scored at 54.29, with the Canadian grabbing his hat trick with an empty net goal with 39 seconds remaining. The win against the visiting Steelers was Flames first Elite League win over the Yorkshire outfit.
The victory over Sheffield made up for the disappointment twenty four hours earlier when Flames fell to a 3-0 loss against the Manchester Storm in Manchester.
