Guildford Flames completed a 4-1 home ice victory against the visiting Manchester Storm at the Guildford Spectrum on Sunday.
Brett Ferguson,Ben Campbell and Rhett Rachinski combined for six points to help Flames to victory.
Flames opened the scoring with a breakaway goal from John Dunbar who slid the puck under the body of Mike Clemente at 12:25. Back to back Storm penalties gave Flames a 5on 3 advantage which they took when Calle Ackered netted after 19:02. Half way through the second period Brett Ferguson scored at 30:14 to give the hosts a comfortable 3-0 lead. Storm pulled a goal back with a Dane Byers powerplay goal at 46:48, but Flames had the last word when Ferguson teed up Cambell who sent a high shot into the net at 52:11 to secure two more points for the Surrey based outfit.
On Saturday Flames came away with a point after pulling back a two goal deficit to send the game into overtime against the Coventry Blaze at Coventry. With the score 4-4 the game went into overtime with the home sides Alex Barron striking the overtime winner inside four minutes of overtime.
