7th JANUARY 2018

Surrey Scorchers picked up their second win of 2018 after overcoming Leeds Force in front of the BBC Sport cameras at Surrey Sports Park on Friday.

Scorchers defeated their visitors by 92-65 to move up to fourth in the BBL Championship.

Scorchers took the opening quarter by 26-19, and never looked back. By half time the hosts had opened up a 20 point advantage to lead 54-34 with Jordan Williams in terrific form with 15 points. The third quarter was shared by both teams 18-18, with Scorchers finishing the stronger of the sides in the final quarter 20-13, to run out comfortable winners against a Leeds Force side still looking for their second win of the League campaign.  Williams completed an excellent match by scoring 19 points on the night, and added 11 rebounds and five assists. There was also a more than useful contribution from Josh Steele on the night who came up with 15 points in front of the Surrey faithful.
